About Koblenz

Koblenz is a German city located in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, in western Germany. It is a crossing point for the two rivers Mosel and Rhine. It is known for its monument “Deutsches Eck” or “German Corner” where the two rivers converge.
This city is also one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Germany. Vineyards, forests and mountains make the unique scenery to this 2,000-year-old city. Koblenz was established as a Roman military post around 8 B.C. Its name originates from the Latin “cōnfluentēs”, meaning "(at the) confluence" in reference to the convergence of the two rivers.
