Smithers campus is connected to place. Connected to the rich cultures of the area, the rugged landscapes and breathtaking vistas.
The Gold LEED building, flooded with natural light and heated with Geothermal energy features wood, rock and Indigenous art throughout. This serves to represent three themes—forestry, resource management and Indigenous culture. The themes symbolize Coast Mountain College’s connection and commitment to the communities of the Northwest.
The building houses a large gathering area and bright learning facilities. With advanced technology with video conferencing and distance education capabilities we offer a variety of instructor-led and online courses. There are classroom spaces, wet and dry science labs, a multi-purpose shop for trades programs, a library and bookstore, a computer lab and one flexible-use lab.
Student housing at the Smithers campus has 20 single occupancy beds with TV’s in each room, shared kitchen, dining hall, shared lounge area with TV, washer and dryer facility and shared washrooms.
