WE Bridge Academy is delighted to announce WE Bridge Academy’s Trinity CertTESOL dates for 2021 – this 4-week intensive programme starts on Monday 19th July and finishes on Friday 13th August 2021. The programme costs £1,450 and a deposit of £300 is required to secure your place.

Entry Requirements:
The programme is suitable for those with no experience of teaching. However, in order to join the course, you must meet the following requirements:
- You must be aged 18 or over
- Education and qualifications: preferably a degree; two or more A-levels grade C and above
- Competence in spoken and written English. Speakers of English as a second or foreign language are welcome to apply for training places; all applicants will be assessed equally at the interview
- Willingness to work cooperatively as a member of the training group and respond constructively to feedback on personal performance
- Potential for combined study including language description and analysis, and also rigorous practical training
Please note: The program is an intensive four weeks with a minimum of 120 hours of training. You should also bear in mind that a further minimum of 80 hours is needed in the evenings and at weekends for the required reading, research, written assignments, and lesson preparation. You are strongly advised not to undertake any other commitments during the 4-week course.
Programme Content
During the program, you will complete:
- Six hours of observed teaching practice with real learners of English, including evaluation and feedback – followed by feedback with a qualified trainer
- Four hours of observation of ESOL teaching by experienced teachers
- Lesson plan practice with self and tutor evaluation and feedback
- Spoken and written language practice with study of grammar and phonology, and how to build them into your teaching
- Needs analysis for learners, including preparation of a simple linguistic profile of an individual learner
- Experience of learning an unknown language that will help you to reflect on the beginner English language learner’s point of view
